Chandler McEntyre, 8th grader at Spartanburg Christian is our first ever Warrior swimmer.  Chandler has represented SCA very well in several recent swim meets.  He has qualified for the SCISA 2A state meet in the 100 meter backstroke, 100 meter freestyle and the 50 meter freestyle.

Parker Fain won the SCJGA Thomas D. Todd All Star Tournament at Patriot Club in Greenwood over the weekend! He shot a tournament record 64-71 for the two day event.

Congratulations to SCA Warrior golfers Parker Fain and Parker Lewis. 
 
As a result of successful summer campaigns on the links for both of these young men, they will represent the Spartanburg Chapter of the SCJGA in the year end All Star event, the Thomas D. Todd All Star Tournament, this weekend at the Patriot Club in Greenwood.

The SCA Robotics Team competed on Saturday, May 13 at the SCISA State Robotics Competition.  The team competed in 3 different categories and received the highest score in each category so they were named the 2017 SCISA Robotics Champions.  Team members are Grace Hetrick, Ellissa Lankford, Lance Moon and Andrew Osburne.

 

Congratulations to Jadlin Waters!  He signed to play football with Crown College in Minnesota!

The SCA boys team easily took 1st place in the Region championships. The SCA girls placed 2nd.
Region champs for SCA were Chandler White, Matthew Burgess, Collin Sparks, Robert Bailey, Josh Miller,  Molly Suttle, Sarah Boler and 3 relay teams. 
In addition, Harrison McGinnis contributed 2 second place finishes.
SCA will end its season next week (May 6) at the State Meet in Charleston.

Spartanburg Christian Academy won the SCISA Region I-2A boys golf title with a 309-329 decision against Spartanburg Day on Tuesday at Carolina Country Club. Oakbrook Prep finished third (339). SCA’s Nick Willis was the individual medalist with a 2-under 70. The Warriors’ Parker Lewis (75), as well as Oakbrook’s Michael Ford (75), Spartanburg Day’s Hayden Genoble (76) and Devin Srivastava (78) and Shannon Forest’s Hank Tuttle (81) earned all-region honors. The Warriors, Griffins and Knights each qualified for the state tournament next week in Conway.

Dustin Johnson is a professonial golfer that is ranked number 1 in the world at this time.  For the second year in a row, Nick Willis has been invited to compete in the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship. The tournament is this weekend at Murrells Inlet, Myrtle Beach.
