The SCA cross-country teams competed in the SCISA State Meet in Columbia on Saturday morning, October 27. The SCA boys won their 5th trophy in the last 9 years as they were State Runner-Up to Greenwood Christian. The SCA girls ran well but saw their 13 year streak get broken by Thomas Sumter. SCA’s 13 year streak is the longest streak, of any sport, in SCISA history. The girls came in 3rd place.
SCA had 4 All-State runners- Michael Burgess (2nd), Andrew Osburne (5th), and Avery Morris (10th), and Molly Suttle (9th) on the girls side. Other top finishers for SCA were Natalie Goodwin, Kelsey Pace, Ellissa Lankford, and Daniel Osburne. All finished in the top 15 in their race.
