We would like to invite ALL veterans to our program.

Our special speaker for this year’s program is Adrian Acosta.

Adrian Acosta is the Director of Public Relations for Spartanburg School District Two, a role he has held for nearly 10 years. Born in Colombia, South America and raised in Boiling Springs since infancy, Adrian combines deep local roots with a broad range of experience in media, military service, and community engagement.

Adrian earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston. Before joining Spartanburg School District Two, he spent 13 years working with the Fox affiliate in Greenville, honing his skills in communications and public affairs.

In 2000, Adrian enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served as part of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force during the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. His unit was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for their actions in Iraq. Adrian earned an honorable discharge at the rank of Sergeant, and his military decorations include the Global War on Terrorism Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze campaign stars.

Adrian is a devoted family man, married for 21 years to his high school sweetheart. Together, they have four children, including triplets who are seniors at Boiling Springs High School, and their oldest daughter, Natalie, is a freshman at Converse University. He is an active member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, where he was baptized and born again in the likeness of Jesus in 2018.
